About me...
My name is Murat Basaran, and my journey has always been guided by a passion for food and the joy of sharing it with others. I was born and raised in Türkiye, where the rich culinary traditions of my homeland first inspired me to see cooking not just as a skill, but as an art form.
After completing my studies at University College Birmingham, I deepened my knowledge of gastronomy and hospitality management. Later, I had the privilege of teaching gastronomy at Eastern Mediterranean University, where I shared my experience with young chefs eager to discover their own culinary voice.
Forty years of experience have taken me through the kitchens of Turkey, England, Cyprus, and Qatar. Leading the kitchen has been both a challenge and a joy — a place where I can combine the flavors with modern European techniques, creating dishes that surprise, inspire, and bring people together.
